- First download both versions of Odin, and extract them to your PC. Launch the first version of Odin.
- Turn off your Galaxy Note 8, and boot into Download Mode. This is done with Volume Down + Bixby + Power held at the same time.
- You will see a screen with a warning sign after the Samsung logo, press Volume Up to proceed to Download Mode.
- Now connect your Galaxy 8 to your PC via USB, and Odin should display “Successful!”.
- Now add the firmware files according to the tabs in Odin. BL > BL, AP > AP, CP > CP, CSC > CSC, but do not add HOME_CSC to the CSC tab. Only the regular CSC file.
- Make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” are the only checkboxes selected under the Options tab in Odin.
- Click the Start button in Odin, and it will begin the flashing process. This will take a few minutes.
- When the firmware has been successfully flashed, Odin will display “Pass!”
- Now you can disconnect your device, and leave it alone until the Android setup screen is ready.
- In order to regain carrier specific features, you will need to successfully set up your unlocked firmware on your network.
- You will need to download the carrier’s version of your stock firmware, and extract the “USERDATA” file from it.
- Then you can use Prince Comsy’s Odin to flash the “USERDATA” file in the UMS box of PC Odin.
