Chrome is one of the most popular web browsers out there with more than a billion users. It is famous primarily due to its fast speeds and easy to use interface. Chrome has numerous features and new ones are added after almost every major update. Google is constantly working to improve the user’s experience with Chrome. There is a feature where some of the user’s information is cached by the browser to save time while logging in to certain platforms.

The user can also choose to save the password for a certain site, this can help reduce the time taken to login to the site. However, this can become an issue if multiple people are using the same account or if the user’s privacy is at risk. Therefore, in this article, we will inform you of the most convenient methods to delete the saved passwords on Chrome.

How to Delete Saved Passwords on Chrome?

There are two ways we can go about this, either we can delete all the passwords that have been saved by Chrome or we can delete the password for a particular site. In this article, we will teach you how to do both. The methods are listed as follows, select the one which best suits your situation.

Method 1: Delete Particular Passwords

If you want to get rid of a saved password for a particular site and don’t want to lose all the saved passwords, you can simply go into your account settings and delete the password for the site. To do that:

  1. Open Chrome and launch a new tab.
  2. Click on the “Profile” button on the top right.

  3. Select “Passwords” from the list.

  4. Scroll down and identify the site for which you want to delete the password.
  5. Click on the “Three Dots” in front of the entry and select “Remove“.

  6. Now you will have to enter the password again to login to the site.

Method 2: Delete All Saved Passwords

It is also possible to delete all passwords that Chrome has saved. In order to do so, the user needs to go into the history settings and configure the browser to only delete the saved passwords. For that:

  1. Open Chrome and launch a new tab.
  2. Press “Shift” + “Ctrl” + “Del” buttons simultaneously to open the history settings.
  3. Click on “Advanced” and select the “Passwords” option.
  4. Click on the “Time Range” dropdown and select “All Time“.

  5. Click on the “Clear Data” option and the passwords will be deleted automatically.
