Disable avast from Adding Signatures to your Emails

avast is one of the most popular antivirus software that brings a lot of features packed into it one of which is the security responsible for automatically embedding signatures to your outgoing emails.

Avast has been notorious for pushing its products and making it more difficult to get rid of. There has been a new issue with Avast where it signs all the emails that you send with its signature automatically. This seems like a marketing trick on their end but it is very annoying to see applications automatically adding text to your emails.

Therefore, in this article, we will be completely removing the Avast’s signature from our email and prevent it from inserting it automatically in the future.

How to Remove Avast Email Signature?

The Email Signature inserted by Avast can be removed by adjusting certain settings and reconfiguring them. To do that:

1. Right-click on the “Avast” icon in the system tray and select “Open Avast User Interface”.

2. Click on the “Menu” button and select the “Settings” icon.
3. Click on the “General Tab” in the top left corner.

4. Uncheck the “Enable Avast Email Signature” option.

5. Click on “OK” and exit back to the desktop.
6. Check to see if the email signature is present in the emails.

1. Right-click on the “Avast” icon in the system tray and select “Open Avast User Interface”.

2. Click on the “Menu” button and select the “Settings” icon.
3. Click on the “Active Protection” option.

4. Select the “Customize” button next to the Mail Sheild option.
5. Click on the “Behavior” app and uncheck the “Insert Note into clean message (outgoing)” option.
6. Click on “OK” and exit back to the desktop.
7. The signature will now be removed completely
