Wi-Fi is rapidly replacing wired LAN in homes and offices. This is the reason most high-end printers now come with Wi-Fi built into them. Now you can print documents wirelessly without attaching cables. However, before you print, you need to connect and configure your printer to print over a Wi-Fi connection. In order for the wifi to work, your printer and your computer must connect to the same wifi router or to an access point/repeater/extender connected to the same router.
Epson WF-3640 is an all-in-one printing solution. To set up wireless printing for your Epson WF-3640, follow these steps below.
Before you start with the setup process, make sure you have the wireless network name and the network key. If you don’t know what the network key is find out by (clicking) here
Setup EPSON WF3640 Wirelessly using the Printer’s Control Panel
On the Printer’s Control Panel, Press the Home Icon and then tap the Wi-Fi icon on the upper-right corner of the printer’s interface.
Select Wi-Fi setup and then choose Wi-Fi setup wizard.
A list of available wireless networks will appear. Choose the wireless network you want to connect to. Use down or up arrow key to find your wireless network if required.
Type the password in Password field. The on-screen keyboard has the option to enter lowercase, uppercase, numeric, and special characters. When done, tap the return arrow. Tap Proceed, and then tap OK.
Your printer will configure itself to print wirelessly. When Setup complete message appears, you can either press Done on the screen to finish the setup or the Start button on printer’s panel to print a network status report.
Now run the printer’s setup on your computer that came with the disc supplied to install the printer on the computer – if you do not have a disc or if your computer comes without a cd-rom, then you can download the software from the Epson site.
Note: If you want to connect more computers to this printer, insert the CD in each computer and start the setup. However, when you reach to step 5, Select Setup Option, choose The printer is already on my wireless network, and follow the instructions.
