When the Chrome Store returned Network_Failed, without any reason the issue is most likely related to a corrupt add-on or a plugin which is programmed to block apps from being installed/downloaded and returns the errors. In my fix, we will simply delete the previous profile and then attempt to load Chrome with a new profile.
Therefore, if you have any important bookmarks; you should export them and save them. After we have created the new profile; we will restore the bookmarks from the bookmarks manager.
Plugins/extensions should be re-installed by you; as needed.
Follow the steps below to fix Network_Failed Error
1. Hold Windows key and Press R
2. In the run dialog that opens up, type
If you are running Windows XP
If you are running Windows 7/Vista/8/8.1/10
Click OK. This will open Windows Explorer with a bunch of folders, right click the default folder and select rename, rename this folder to default.old. If it tells you that Chrome is already in use, then save these steps, reboot your computer and without attempting to open Chrome perform these steps.
After the default folder has been successfully renamed to default.old, Chrome will open without problems.
Make sure you note down what extensions you install so that you can monitor which specific extension is causing this or may cause this so you can turn them off one by one, and test in future.
